While your neck pain might be just stress related and relaxing will help, there may be other factors, and just relaxing doesn't necessarily get rid of the stress.<br /><br />I work for a health center, and we use stress reduction techniques to help patients with all kinds of health issues. You might want to see if you can find some meditation classes aimed at stress reduction. Particularly, look for mindfulness based stress reduction. There's a lot of interesting literature on the subject.<br /><br />At the simplest, just take some time every day, fifteen minutes or half an hour, lie down, focus just on your breathing as you breath regularly. When you mind wanders, which is bound to happen, just acknowledge that your mind wandered and focus back on your breathing. <br /><br />Just an idea that might help.
