So much equipment is required for events like this that I'm always worried that something will break and bring everything to a grinding halt. I've got a backup camera, backup lights, a backup power supply and plenty of extra batteries. I guess all you can do is be prepared and hope for the best. Something unexpected always happens when pet are involved, but usually it's no more serious than a dog pooping on the set. So far, nobody has gotten bitten.
Dash is finally starting to mature. When we took the dogs over to Vheas's Laundromutt this morning for their bath, he didn't make much of a fuss at all. If I didn't know better, I could have sworn that we were bathing a normal dog. He whined a little, but no more than any of the other dogs. Maybe Dash just doesn't like water. I can certainly sympathize. I'm not very fond of water myself these days. Even though the roof is completely dry now, water is still seeping through the Sheetrock ceiling in the living room. Lord knows how much water leaked into the one foot cavity between the roof and the interior ceiling during the snow storm last week, but it must have been a lot.
I've still got to finish packing up the backdrops and the lights. It would be such a luxury to have a totally separate set of traveling gear that I could just leave packed and ready to go at all times. Maybe someday. For now I'll just continue packing and unpacking and packing all over again. At least it's probably good exercise.
