Earlier in the day, both dogs were eager to go to the dog park. They've both learned that this is what we do on Sunday now. Once we arrived at the park, they raced around for about thirty seconds and then proceeded to look for a shady patch of dirt where they could take a nap. It would have been easy enough to find a shady patch of dirt in our own back yard, but they seem to enjoy doing new things.
There weren't many new things on the agenda for me today. It was time to mow the grass again and the plants definitely needed watering. The heat makes everything seem more difficult than it actually is. I really didn't do all that much today, but by the end of the day it felt like I'd put in a full days work. I was so tired by the time I finished photographing Dot, that when I went to look at the pictures, I mistakenly stuck the camera's memory card into the computer's CD slot. Yikes! Don't ever do this! I thought I'd ruined the computer for a while, but I was finally able to coax the SDHD memory card out of the CD slot with a very thin pair of watch repair tweezers.
Next week looks busy. I guess busy is good. It's always nice to have enough money to pay the bills. I'm starting to think it might be nice to have a vacation too. This heat is really starting to get to me.
